Lively program

Specific age-appropriate materials for young learners are used to encourage their motivation. Our creative classes help children feel the excitement of learning Italian in a dynamic and active way.

Italian immersion

The classes are conducted almost entirely in Italian to guarantee a full immersion. However, every care is taken to meet the specific needs and abilities of each child.

Expert teachers

Our teacher are all native and qualified. We make sure that they are screened with a face to face interview and they are all  “working with children” checked.

Italian culture

While developing and enhancing their language’s skills, our teachers will give young students an insight into Italian culture, art and history.

Fun Activities

We offer a wide range of activities relevant to each age level. Games, songs, role-plays will encourage students to communicate in Italian in a fun way.

  • 3-5

    3 to 5 years of age

    Aim To build students’ communicative skills and give them the confidence to use the Italian language in practical everyday situations.
    Description The program for this age group is activity/play based. Students are presented with various activities (games, songs and role-plays) as a means of encouraging them to speak in Italian. Whilst the class is conducted almost entirely in Italian, every care is taken to cater for the specific needs and abilities of each child.
    In classes of 8 or more, there are two teachers with students at all times which ensures that each child receives lots of individual attention.
    Class Text Materials are prepared and supplied by teachers. Each child will receive a scrap book in which they can store their work.
    Homework Worksheets given in class are kept in students’ scrap books so that parents can monitor their children’s progress. Where possible, parents are encouraged to revise the work-sheets to reinforce the new words and phrases taught during the lesson.

    Program for both courses

    Aim To provide students with an opportunity to speak in Italian as much as possible. To expand students’ vocabulary and extend their language skills to include reading and writing in Italian.
    Description Whilst conversation is the main focus of these levels, students are beginning to develop their reading, writing and grammatical skills. They are presented with various activities (games, songs & role-plays) as a means of encouraging them to communicate in Italian. The class is conducted almost entirely in Italian but every care is taken to cater for the specific needs and abilities of each child. Small class sizes ensure that each child receives individual attention.
    Class Text Materials are prepared and supplied by teachers. Each child will receive a scrap book in which to store their work.
    Homework Parents are encouraged to revise any new vocabulary and/or new points of grammar kept in students’ books, so they can help their children to progress.

    Program for both courses

    Aim To expand their vocabulary and extend their reading, writing and grammatical skills in Italian, while having an opportunity to speak Italian and learn about Italian culture.
    Description Class is conducted almost entirely in Italian. Students are encouraged to use the language in as many different situations as possible. Whilst conversation remains the main focus of this level, grammar, reading, writing and listening are also covered thoroughly. Students will examine contemporary Italy through various cultural units and their language studies may extend to other subject areas such as History, Geography and Art.
    Small class sizes ensure students receive individual attention.
    Class Text Materials are an integration of the book “AVANTI!” (beginners) or “ SEMPRE AVANTI!” (advanced) and activities designed by the teachers. The booklets for each class are available for purchase at the office.
    Homework Students are encouraged to learn new vocabulary and practise various phrases at home. Written exercises will be set.
    Fee Beginners: $199 (incl. GST) per term (10 x 1 hour lessons)Advanced: $299 (incl. GST) per term (10 x 1.5 hour lessons)
