Venezia

Built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea

The City

Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.

The School

At Istituto Venezia a variety of courses at all levels are available throughout the year. Students can choose or combine different solutions. Each student can participate to all the social and cultural activities offered on a monthly basis by the school. All the cultural and social activities are free of charge. At the end of the course the student can ask for a certificate of attendance or, on request, a certificate attesting the successful completion of courses. Lessons are 55 minutes long. Fees cover all the teaching material. During the course, the main communication skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – are equally explored and gradually developed at all levels. Every week the teachers adjust and enrich the programme of your group in order to satisfy your interests and requirements.
