Discover Otranto and Matera

Otranto, a charming town near Lecce and Italy's easternmost point, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2010. Its rich history spans Roman, Byzantine, and Aragonese reigns. Beyond its cultural heritage, Otranto offers stunning golden beaches and crystal-clear Adriatic waters, perfect for a refreshing swim.

Matera, named the 2019 European Capital of Culture, is one of the world's oldest inhabited cities, alongside Petra in Jordan. Its Sassi districts, UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1993, have featured in films like Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ and the James Bond movie No Time to Die.
